IFC Emerging Asia Fund

Adam

Adam joined IFC in 2001 in Vietnam and has worked in Asia ever since, joining AMC in November 2015. He relocated to Singapore with AMC from Colombo, where he was the country manager for Sri Lanka and Maldives. From 2007 to 2011, Adam was the country manager for Indonesia and prior to that, he lived and worked in Vietnam and Cambodia running IFC's Advisory programs in the Mekong. Adam started his career at J.P. Morgan in London in M&A and structured finance, and left with two colleagues to start a European private equity fund in the early 1990s.

 

Inderbir Singh

Inderbir joined AMC in 2015. He has more than 19 years of experience in private equity and debt investments, equity research, and public policy. Prior to joining AMC, Inderbir held various positions in the Financial Institutions Group at IFC, including managing the South Asia portfolio and subsequently leading the direct equity investments across Asia Pacific.

Jainish

Jainish began his career with IFC in 2016 with the MAS department (South Asia) based in Mumbai. He has interdisciplinary exposure across assurance, corporate finance and investment banking. Prior to IFC, Jainish was an investment banker at Macquarie where he focused raising capital for companies in infrastructure and consumer sectors. 

 

Jainish is a Chartered Accountant and graduated from University of Mumbai in 2014. He is also a CFA® Charter holder.

Ha

Ha Lai joined IFC in 2005 and worked in Vietnam and Singapore office before moving to AMC in Dec 2018. She held various roles at IFC including in front office coordination, office administration and facility management, and program assistance for both the investment and advisory services. Her prior experience outside the World Bank Group was sales planning and marketing in the automobile industry.

 

Ha holds a Bachelor of Arts in Languages.

Lonika

Lonika joined AMC in June 2016. Prior to joining AMC, Lonika was a Team Assistant with the IFC Infrastructure and Natural Resources Group in New Delhi, and with the Environment Corporate and Social Governance team. She has worked at IFC for the past six years. In her roles at IFC, she handled a mix of administrative and portfolio work. Prior to joining IFC, Lonika worked for American Airlines where she managed extensive client interactions linked to ground and security operations.

 

Lonika holds a BA in English from Delhi University.

Amira

Amira joined AMC in June 2016 as an Associate with the IFC Emerging Asia Fund team. Prior to joining AMC, Amira was an Assistant Vice President with Citigroup in New York, where she focused on emerging market private equity investments. Prior to joining Citigroup, Amira was at Export Development Canada, where she provided financing and advisory services for Canadian corporations expanding internationally.

 

Amira holds an MBA with distinction from Columbia Business School and the University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from Concordia University.

Andrew

Andrew joined AMC in December 2014. Prior to this, he spent seven years at Standard Chartered Bank’s Private Equity Business, first as Global Head of Infrastructure and then Global Co-Head of Energy Resources and Infrastructure.  He was also Co-CEO of the SCI Asia Fund. Andrew has more than twenty five years of experience including as Head of M&A at InterGen Asia and prior to that as Head of Power and Energy at Goldman Sachs Asia.

 

Yu Jin

Yu Jin joined the IFC Emerging Asia Fund Team as an Associate in November 2017. He first joined AMC in December 2015 as an Investment Analyst, working across regions with the Financial Institution and Infrastructure Funds to assess potential investments and monitor portfolio companies. Prior to joining AMC, Yu Jin was an Analyst based in Singapore at Partners Group AG, where he focused on buyout and minority growth private equity transactions in the business and financial services sector.
