Fund Head and Chief Investment Officer
Andrew joined AMC in 2014 and is Head of IFC’s Emerging Asia Fund and a member of its Investment Committee. IFC’s Emerging Asia Fund has made impactful investments in 20 companies across a wide range of industries in China, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia and Myanmar.
Andrew has extensive experience investing in emerging and developed markets across Asia for more than 30 years. Before joining AMC, he spent seven years at Standard Chartered Bank’s Private Equity Business based in Singapore, where he served first as Global Head of Infrastructure and then as Global Co-Head of Energy, Resources and Infrastructure, and was also the co-CEO of the SCI Asia Fund. Andrew was also Head of M&A at InterGen Asia and Head of Power and Energy at Goldman Sachs Asia, both based in Hong Kong. Prior to this, he worked in the M&A department of Barclays Bank in the UK and Australia.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of New South Wales in Australia.
Principal
Inderbir is Head of the IFC Global Infrastructure Fund and Chief Investment Officer of IFC Emerging Asia Fund. He serves as a member of the Investment Committee of the IFC Global Infrastructure Fund. He serves as a member of the board of directors of multiple portfolio companies.
Inderbir has over 25 years of experience in private equity, debt investments, equity research, and public policy. He uses his expertise and in-depth knowledge across financial services, fintech, consumer and B2B technology, sustainable infrastructure, pharmaceuticals and industrials to drive value creation for AMC’s investment portfolio.
His past roles include leading the direct equity investments in Financial Institutions Group at IFC across Asia Pacific and managing the South Asia portfolio in the Financial Institutions Group at IFC He has also advised governments in India and East Africa on SME financing and infrastructure PPPs at the World Bank. He served as Vice President at Credit Suisse First Boston and Deutsche Bank, leading equity research in pharmaceuticals, telecom, and media sectors in Mumbai. Inderbir has also published work on the investment climate in India and infrastructure finance.
He holds an MBA equivalent from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University.
Principal
Adam is Head of the IFC Middle East and North Africa Fund and Chief Investment Officer in the IFC Emerging Asia Fund. He serves as a member of the Investment Committee of the IFC Middle East and North Africa Fund. He serves as a member of the board of directors of multiple portfolio companies.
Adam has three decades of investing, operating and leadership experience spanning countries in the MENA region and Asia. Adam has dedicated more than twenty years at IFC where he was Country Manager for Sri Lanka and Maldives, managing operations in Indonesia, and oversaw IFC’s advisory programs for the Mekong region. He kick-started his career at J.P. Morgan in London, concentrating on M&A and structured finance, and later co-founded a European private equity fund.
He holds an MSc in Development Studies and a BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Oxford University.
Investment Manager
Amira is a member of IFC Emerging Asia Fund.
Amira joined AMC in June 2016 as an Associate with the IFC Emerging Asia Fund team. Prior to joining AMC, Amira was an Assistant Vice President with Citigroup in New York, where she focused on emerging market private equity investments. Prior to joining Citigroup, Amira was at Export Development Canada, where she provided financing and advisory services for Canadian corporations expanding internationally.
Amira holds an MBA with distinction from Columbia Business School and the University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from Concordia University.
Investment Manager
Yu Jin is a member of the IFC Emerging Asia Fund.
Yu Jin joined the IFC Emerging Asia Fund Team as an Associate in November 2017. He first joined AMC in December 2015 as an Investment Analyst, working across regions with the Financial Institution and Infrastructure Funds to assess potential investments and monitor portfolio companies. Prior to joining AMC, Yu Jin was an Analyst based in Singapore at Partners Group AG, where he focused on buyout and minority growth private equity transactions in the business and financial services sector. Prior to joining Partners Group, he worked at Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore, where he provided trade finance solutions to corporate clients.
Yu Jin holds a BBA with First Class Honors from National University of Singapore Business School. He is also a CFA charter holder.
Investment Manager
Jainish is a member of IFC Emerging Asia Fund.
Jainish began his career with IFC in 2016 with the MAS department (South Asia) based in Mumbai. He has interdisciplinary exposure across assurance, corporate finance and investment banking. Prior to IFC, Jainish was an investment banker at Macquarie where he focused raising capital for companies in infrastructure and consumer sectors.
Jainish is a Chartered Accountant and graduated from University of Mumbai in 2014. He is also a CFA® Charter holder.
Investment Manager
Nathan is a member of the IFC Emerging Asia Fund.
Nathan joined the Emerging Asia Fund team in June 2024 from Eastspring Investments, where he was the public equity Portfolio Manager in the Greater China-focused team. Previously, Nathan worked at SeaTown Holdings, where he focused on global real estate and tech multi-asset investments. He also worked in Temasek Holdings as a private equity associate in the Consumer and Real Estate team.
Nathan holds a Masters of Finance from the Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance, Shanghai Jiaotong University, and a Bachelor of Science in Microelectronics from Fudan University.
Associate
Prakrati is a member of the IFC Emerging Asia Fund.
Prior to joining in May 2024, Prakrati was an analyst at IFC in Mumbai, where she focused on private investments in the manufacturing, agribusiness, and services sectors, covering the South Asia region. Prakrati's prior experience includes working at Goldman Sachs and PwC. She is currently based in AMC's Singapore Office.
Prakrati holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow. She is also a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce (B.com) degree from Mumbai University.
Program Assistant
Lonika joined AMC in June 2016. Prior to joining AMC, Lonika was a Team Assistant with the IFC Infrastructure and Natural Resources Group in New Delhi, and with the Environment Corporate and Social Governance team. She has worked at IFC for the past six years. In her roles at IFC, she handled a mix of administrative and portfolio work. Prior to joining IFC, Lonika worked for American Airlines where she managed extensive client interactions linked to ground and security operations.
Lonika holds a BA in English from Delhi University.
