Vice President and Treasurer, Treasury & Mobilization,
John Gandolfo is IFC’s Vice President and Treasurer, Treasury & Mobilization. Mr. Gandolfo leads IFC’s Treasury & Mobilization global team in delivering on IFC’s strategy to create markets and mobilize private capital for development, in debt and equity, leveraging IFC’s decades of experience crowding in third-party institutional investors. The team manages over $100 billion in liquid assets, global market borrowings, and derivatives transactions. It is responsible for strengthening local-currency financing by arranging and executing local-currency and risk-management transactions for clients and raising third-party capital through innovative syndication and mobilization platforms such as the Managed Co-Lending Portfolio Program (MCPP) and AMC.
Prior to taking the role of IFC Treasurer, Mr. Gandolfo was Director and Chief Investment Officer of the Pension and Endowments Department at the World Bank. His team managed $27 billion of World Bank Group pension and other retirement-benefit portfolios invested across a range of asset classes and strategies. Over a highly successful career spanning more than 30 years in the World Bank Group, Mr. Gandolfo acquired broad experience in financial markets and treasury operations. As Director of the Quantitative Strategies, Risk and Analytics Department, he was responsible for the development of strategic and tactical asset allocations, risk management, and financial modeling for the asset management, capital markets, and banking businesses. Before that, he was the Director of the Investment Management Department. He began his career in IFC’s Financial Management and Planning Department.
Mr. Gandolfo holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the George Washington University.
Director, IFC Equity Mobilization Department (AMC),
Alemayehu is a seasoned investment professional with over 30 years of experience covering emerging markets of Europe, Asia, Latin America, Middle East, and Africa. He is currently Director of IFC’s Equity Mobilization Department, AMC. Prior to this, Alemayehu was Director for the South Asia Department, IFC heading all of IFC’s activities in the region. In this role, he has led the significant expansion of IFC activities in the South Asia region, delivering a record investment volume over $15 billion investment in Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, renewables, infrastructure, logistics, services, and manufacturing in the last six years.
Prior to being Director for South Asia, Alemayehu had a distinguished career in IFC’s Financial Institutions Group, assuming various important roles including Chief Investment Officer, Head of FIG Equity Business, and his last role being Global Head for IFC’s financial service business covering banking, SMEs, microfinance, housing, and digital finance for about a decade in Washington and Dubai. During his leadership, investment activities in these businesses grew four- to five-fold increases, making IFC the leader in a number of these areas. His leadership was instrumental in strengthening and establishing many successful financial institutions including commercial and merchant banks, insurance and asset management companies, private equity funds, microfinance institutions, housing finance institutions, and privatizing and restructuring several leading financial institutions across all emerging markets.
Before joining IFC, Alemayehu, an MBA graduate of George Washington University, held senior positions related to project finance, development consulting, and higher education in Ethiopia.

Selena joined AMC in 2011 after 11 years at IFC, where she was an Investment Officer in both the East Asia Department and the Global Financial Markets Department, and a Senior Strategy Officer in the Corporate Strategy Department. Prior to joining IFC, Selena was Associate Director in the M&A Department of Credit Agricole Indosuez in Paris and a Vice President of Project Finance at the same company in Singapore.
Selena holds a BBA from the National University of Singapore.

Alain joined AMC in 2013 as a Principal with the AMC Fund of Funds Group. Prior to joining AMC, Alain was a director at Ardian (formerly AXA Private Equity) in Singapore. Alain’s prior experience includes working at Caisse de Depot et Placement du Quebec and CIBC.
Alain holds a BAA in Finance from University of Montreal, Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC) and a Diploma in Finance from Institut Universitaire de Technologie.
Head, IFC Global Infrastructure Fund
Inderbir joined AMC in 2015. He has more than 19 years of experience in private equity and debt investments, equity research, and public policy. Prior to joining AMC, Inderbir held various positions in the Financial Institutions Group at IFC, including managing the South Asia portfolio and subsequently leading the direct equity investments across Asia Pacific. He has also worked at the World Bank in providing financial and advisory assistance to national and provincial governments in India and East Africa in the areas of SME financing, Infrastructure PPPs, Innovation Policy and Investment Climate. Prior to joining the World Bank Group, Inderbir served as a Vice President at Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB) and Deutsche Bank, leading their Equities Research for the Pharmaceuticals, Telecom Services & Equipment, and Media sectors based in Mumbai. He has published papers on Investment Climate in India, Infrastructure Finance, Public Private Partnership units, and Enhancing Innovation Finance through seed and early stage venture capital funding.
Inderbir holds an MBA equivalent from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, a Bachelors in Commerce (Honors) from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University, and a Diploma in Business Finance from the Indian Chartered Financial Analyst Institute.

Jun joined AMC in 2010 as a Senior Investment Manager with the IFC Capitalization Fund. Previously, Jun was a Vice President in the Investment Banking Division at JPMorgan in Tokyo and an Investment Officer in the Financial Institutions Group of IFC. Jun also worked in the Investment Banking Division at Deutsche Bank and at the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ. Jun is based in AMC's Singapore office.
Jun holds a BA in Political Science from Waseda University and an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Mark joined AMC in 2017 as part of the Client Relations team based in London. Previously, Mark was Head of business development at The Rohatyn Group as well as holding senior Client roles at several European asset managers. He began his career in equity research and portfolio management at Mercury Asset Management in London and was subsequently Head of International and Emerging Markets equity research at Scudder, Stevens and Clark.
Mark holds an MA from Edinburgh University, a Masters of International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management and is a CFA charter holder.
Head, IFC Middle East and North Africa Fund
Adam joined IFC in 2001 in Vietnam and has worked in Asia ever since, joining AMC in November 2015. He relocated to Singapore with AMC from Colombo, where he was the country manager for Sri Lanka and Maldives. From 2007 to 2011, Adam was the country manager for Indonesia and prior to that, he lived and worked in Vietnam and Cambodia running IFC's Advisory programs in the Mekong. Adam started his career at J.P. Morgan in London in M&A and structured finance, and left with two colleagues to start a European private equity fund in the early 1990s.
He has an MSc in development studies and a BA in philosophy, politics and economics from Oxford University.

Prior to joining AMC in 2011, Mona was an associate at Debevoise & Plimpton, LLP in London advising institutional and boutique sponsors of private equity investment funds in Europe, the Middle East and Latin America, including leveraged buyout funds, emerging markets funds, fund of funds and mezzanine funds.
Mona holds a BA in political science and history from Virginia Tech, an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh and a JD from the University of Virginia.

Andrew joined AMC in December 2014. Prior to this, he spent seven years at Standard Chartered Bank’s Private Equity Business, first as Global Head of Infrastructure and then Global Co-Head of Energy Resources and Infrastructure. He was also Co-CEO of the SCI Asia Fund. Andrew has more than twenty five years of experience including as Head of M&A at InterGen Asia and prior to that as Head of Power and Energy at Goldman Sachs Asia.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of New South Wales in Australia.

Prior to joining AMC in 2011, Sheref was previously an Investment Accounting Officer at IFC and a Senior Manager at EY. Prior to joining the EY audit practice, Sheref led accounting teams at PNC Global Investment Servicing, Inc. and Citigroup Fund Services, formerly BISYS Fund Services.
Sheref is a CPA and holds a BA from Addis Ababa University and an MBA from California University of Pennsylvania.

Lovely joined AMC in October 2020 as an Analyst. Before that, he worked as an analyst for a boutique infrastructure investment, advisory and project development firm in Nigeria.
Prior to that, Lovely worked in a leading indigenous private equity firm in Nigeria, where he was involved in equity investments and portfolio management across various industries including consumer, financial services, manufacturing, agribusiness, business services and education. Lovely has also completed the spring and summer analyst programs at Goldman Sachs and Bank of America in London respectively.
Lovely holds a BSc in Accounting from the University of Lagos. He is a CFA Level II candidate.
Investment Manager, IFC Emerging Asia Fund
Amira joined AMC in June 2016 as an Associate with the IFC Emerging Asia Fund team. Prior to joining AMC, Amira was an Assistant Vice President with Citigroup in New York, where she focused on emerging market private equity investments. Prior to joining Citigroup, Amira was at Export Development Canada, where she provided financing and advisory services for Canadian corporations expanding internationally.
Amira holds an MBA with distinction from Columbia Business School and the University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from Concordia University.

Prior to joining AMC, Langston was an investment banking analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he focused on M&A and financing transactions in the natural resources and energy transition sectors. Previously, Langston worked as a summer analyst at Mongolia's largest investment bank, where he helped local companies raise growth capital from development finance institutions and other international investors.
Langston holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Harvard University.

Jainish began his career with IFC in 2016 with the MAS department (South Asia) based in Mumbai. He has interdisciplinary exposure across assurance, corporate finance and investment banking. Prior to IFC, Jainish was an investment banker at Macquarie where he focused raising capital for companies in infrastructure and consumer sectors.
Jainish is a Chartered Accountant and graduated from University of Mumbai in 2014. He is also a CFA® Charter holder.

Tatiana joined AMC in April 2013 as part of the AMC Fund of Funds Group. Prior to joining AMC, Tatiana worked on private equity fund investments at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation and the Inter-American Development Bank. Her responsibilities included due diligence, manager selection, investments, portfolio monitoring, reporting, business development, and market research across emerging markets in Latin America, Asia, Africa, and CEE/CIS. Previously, she worked at MSCI, a provider of benchmark indices and risk analytics products.
Tatiana holds a BA from Smith College, and a Masters degree in International Finance and Policy from Columbia University. She is a CFA Charterholder.

Yue Joined AMC in February 2016 as part of the AMC Fund of Funds Group. Prior to joining AMC, Yue worked at the IFC Valuation team that oversees valuation of IFC equity, derivatives, debt securities and other fair valued instruments. Yue was instrumental in developing IFC’s valuation guidelines for private equity funds. Previously, she worked at a Chinese asset management company, responsible for investment due diligence, portfolio monitoring and market research.
Yue holds a MA in Public Finance from University of Maryland and a BA/MA in Public Policy and Economics from Peking University (China).

Ioannis joined AMC in 2013 as part of the IFC Capitalization Fund team. Prior to joining AMC, Ioannis was a Strategy Manager for GlaxoSmithKline, and a management consultant with The Boston Consulting Group.
Ioannis holds a BSc in Economic Theory from the Athens University of Economics and Business, an MBA from INSEAD, and an MPhil in Economics from the University of Oxford.

Andreea Militaru joined AMC in October 2016. Prior to joining AMC, Andreea worked as an analyst in IFC’s PPP Transaction Advisory team working with governments in Africa and Eastern Europe to develop infrastructure though Public-Private Partnerships. Andreea began her career at the World Bank Private Participation in Infrastructure Database where she focused on infrastructure investment trends in Eastern Europe and Central & Southern Asia.
Andreea holds a B.S in Economics (Honors) from Towson University and an M.A. in Economics from George Mason University. She is a CFA level II candidate.
Investment Manager, Financial Institutions Group Funds
Kenta joined IFC as part of the Young Professionals Program in 2018 and worked for the Infrastructure Department, where he focused on equity investments. Prior to IFC, Kenta was an Associate in the Principal Investment Group at the Development Bank of Japan (“DBJ”) and DBJ Investment Advisory, an in-house private equity fund, managed by external recruits on a commercial basis. He started his career as an investment banking Analyst in the M&A Advisory Group at Barclays Capital.
Kenta holds a BA in Economics from Keio University and an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Joe joined AMC in June 2016 as an Investment Manager with the IFC Global Infrastructure Fund. Prior to joining AMC, he was a Senior Specialist at Deloitte Financial Advisory Services focusing on power and infrastructure in emerging markets. Joe also held previous roles as a Special Projects Manager at Cummins Power Generation and an Equity Research Analyst at JPMorgan Chase in San Francisco.
Joe holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Economics from Pomona College, and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Yu Jin joined the IFC Emerging Asia Fund Team as an Associate in November 2017. He first joined AMC in December 2015 as an Investment Analyst, working across regions with the Financial Institution and Infrastructure Funds to assess potential investments and monitor portfolio companies. Prior to joining AMC, Yu Jin was an Analyst based in Singapore at Partners Group AG, where he focused on buyout and minority growth private equity transactions in the business and financial services sector. Prior to joining Partners Group, he worked at Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore, where he provided trade finance solutions to corporate clients.
Yu Jin holds a BBA with First Class Honors from National University of Singapore Business School. He is also a CFA charter holder.

Prior to joining AMC in 2013, Mohsin was an Associate at HIP Consult, a boutique strategy and management consulting firm where he advised clients in emerging markets on large infrastructure investments and project management. Previously, he was an analyst at NERA Economic Consulting (Oliver Wyman Group).
Mohsin holds a BSc in Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, an MA in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins, and an MBA from Goizueta Business School at Emory University.

Laura is a Senior Investment Officer of the China-Mexico Fund and is primarily responsible for the Oil and Gas program of the Fund. Before joining the Fund’s team, she spent five years in IFC’s Mexico office where she led business development efforts, in particular in telecommunications and oil and gas, and worked in equity and debt transactions in sectors such as financial markets, private equity and manufacturing.
Laura joined IFC in 2005 and before coming to Mexico in 2010, she worked in the Portfolio Management and the Equity department. Before IFC, Laura worked for 5 years at the Central Bank of Colombia in the international reserves department. Overall, she has over 15 years of experience in finance, including portfolio and risk management, FX and fixed income trading, market research and debt and equity transactions.
She holds a Master in Financial Engineering and a Master in Applied Economics from University of Michigan and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia. She is fluent in Spanish and English and has conversational skills in Italian and Portuguese.

Tyler joined IFC AMC in November 2015 as part of the Client Relations team. Prior to joining AMC, he was with the World Bank (IBRD) for two years in Singapore, where he was an Infrastructure Finance Specialist. He has also worked extensively in Korea, where he worked for seven years as an Investment Manager in the Alternative Investment Division of the Hanwha Life Insurance. He started his career as a prop trader for stock trading and has also worked in other firms within the Korean financial industry.
He holds a Master of Science in Finance from the Manchester Business School in the UK and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business Administration from SungKyunKwan University in Korea (Double Degree).

Previously, Kosei worked at the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Vientiane, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, and the Sumitomo Bank (currently Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation) in New York, Osaka and Tokyo.
He holds a LLB from Kyoto University and an MBA from Yale School of Management.

Prior to joining AMC in 2013, Htet Htet was an Associate Financial Officer at Investment Accounting Group at IFC. Prior to IFC, Htet Htet was an Audit Senior at Ernst & Young’s where she provided audit services to asset management and financial services clients.
Htet Htet is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a BS in Business Administration and Accounting from Washington and Lee University. She completed the CFA exams and is in the process of obtaining her charter.

Elaine joined AMC in 2012 as Assistant Controller. Prior to joining AMC, Elaine was an assurance manager with Ernst & Young’s Financial Services Office, where she provided audit services to asset management and financial services clients, including private equity funds, hedge funds, registered investment companies and broker dealers.
Elaine is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a BS in Finance from Pennsylvania State University and an MS in Accountancy from Mendoza College of Business, University of Notre Dame.

David joined AMC in 2014 as an Accounting Associate. Prior to joining AMC, David was an audit manager at Deloitte in the US and Australia, specializing in asset management practice and serving clients including private equity firms and other investment companies. David is an Irish Chartered Accountant, a Certified Public Accountant and holds a BSc in Management.

Claire Medina has been part of the AMC Team since January 2010. Claire joined the World Bank Group in 1993 as a bilingual assistant with the Global Environment Facility before moving to the International Finance Corporation where she worked in diverse areas: Sub-Saharan Africa, Office of the Executive Vice President, Private Equity Funds, Environment & Social Sustainability, and Business Advisory Services. Prior to this, Claire worked in the marketing department of Colgate Palmolive France.
Claire holds a Bachelor of Arts in Languages and a diploma of translation/interpretation. She is originally from France.

Ji Hee joined the AMC Finance Team as a Staff Accountant in April 2016. Prior to joining AMC, Ji Hee spent about two years at Fannie Mae as a Senior Accountant and four years at PriceWaterhouseCoopers as a Senior Associate in their Tax Services Group. She is originally from South Korea.

Prior to joining AMC, Mao was of counsel at Gunderson Dettmer Stough Villeneuve Franklin & Hachigian, LLP in Beijing, representing venture capital and private equity investors in their investment transactions, as well as startups and emerging growth companies throughout their lifecycles. Prior to joining Gunderson, Mao was a partner at RHTLaw Taylor Wessing LLP and Withers KhattarWong LLP in Singapore, advising companies and investors in their cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and corporate partnering transactions, as well as issuers and sponsors in initial public offerings, reverse take-overs, tender offers and other capital markets transactions.
Mao holds a LL.B. from Renmin University of China, a LL.M. (Sheridan Fellow) from National University of Singapore, and a LL.M. (Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar) from Columbia Law School. He is qualified to practice in New York.

Ramita joined AMC in October 2015. Prior to joining AMC, Ramita led the Program Management Office for the Finance IT unit within the World Bank Group Information Technology Solutions VPU. In this role, she oversaw technology strategy development, program and project management, IT governance, and client relationship management to ensure full alignment of business and IT priorities in the finance domain. Ramita also spent 10 years developing Finance IT solutions in SAP.
Ramita holds a B.S. in Computer Science and an M.S. in Information Systems from George Mason University.

She has worked at IFC for the past six years. In her roles at IFC, she handled a mix of administrative and portfolio work. Prior to joining IFC, Lonika worked for American Airlines where she managed extensive client interactions linked to ground and security operations.

Chau joined AMC in September 2013 as a Program Assistant with the IFC Global Infrastructure Fund. In January 2016, she joined the Client Relations team at AMC. Prior to joining AMC, Chau was a Program Assistant in IFC’s Independent Evaluation Group (IEG) in Washington, DC. She has previously worked as a Market Research Analyst in the Investor Relations Department at Freddie Mac (Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation) in McLean, Virginia.
Chau holds a BA in Political Science from the University of California in Irvine, California and an MA in International Affairs from American University in Washington, DC.

Babita joined AMC in January 2011. Babita joined IFC in April 1995 where she worked at the front office of the Sub-Saharan Africa department. In December 1995 she moved to the Central Asia, Middle East and North Africa department and from there to the Southern Europe & Central Asia (SECA) Department. During this time she provided assistance to the Directors office and was the back-up for the SECA HR Officer. In July 2002, Babita moved to Global Financial Markets where she provided administrative and secretarial support to the Associate Director, Global Financial Markets-Portfolio & Equity Team.
Babita holds a degree in Intermediate of Arts and Psychology.

Ha Lai joined IFC in 2005 and worked in Vietnam and Singapore office before moving to AMC in Dec 2018. She held various roles at IFC including in front office coordination, office administration and facility management, and program assistance for both the investment and advisory services. Her prior experience outside the World Bank Group was sales planning and marketing in the automobile industry.
Ha holds a Bachelor of Arts in Languages.
